Picture Problem With The Latest Updates [message #15243]

Hi, I hadn't updated since 021410 so I went straight for the latest, cable & satellite are perfect but when using blu-ray the picture is just green & yellow. I worked my way back through the updates & they are all the same until I get back to 021410 which is the only one that seems to work.

The BD Player is a Sony BDP-S550 & the TV is a Pioneer LX-508D.

Any ideas ?

Hi Charlie,
Today I updated from 021410 to 022010 (latest) to solve an audio issue with my Wii. That update indeed fixed the bug that was announced by Lumagen. On the other hand, this update caused no issues with my BluRay player Sony BDP-S350 (connected via HDMI). Well, I don't know whether there is much difference between the S550 and the S350 as far as handing their signal over to the Radiance is concerned. Did you try an unplug/replug of the HDMI cable?

Hello,

I'va got a problem with the latest firmware and my BDP-23 Pioneer BLu-Ray Player ...

I've got somee vertical blue lines and horizontal red lines on the image ... No way to watch a movie ! Try the player direct on the TV and no problem.

Flash back to the 021210 and no problem anymore.

Did somebody notice the same thing with a BDP-320 (EU model) or the BDP-23 (firmware 3.54)

And i notice thaht the 022010 firmware produce a image more blurer than the 021210.

The XD handles HDMI 1.1 protocol and the XE HDMI 1.3 (supporting deep color and some higher digital audio formats). That does not explain your BluRay issue.

Looks like we've found the issue you ran into. New update being posted today should fix it. It's a timing marginality in the fpga of the XD/XE that gives bad results on just a few systems so that's why only a couple of people have seen it. New revision will be 022110. Once you try it please let us know.
