Is there an autosensing function that sens the incomming aspect ratio?

To clarify: I use a 2.39:1(2.35) setup and wish for the Lumagen to change zoom settings depending of the incomming aspectratio. In this way I dont have to manually change aspectratio on my remote.

We have asked for something similar here http://www.convergent-av.co.uk/forum/index.php?t=msg&th= 2323&start=0&rid=900&S=908ce7aa70c62fd881c0d32f3 364322c and have been told it was on a possible to do list.

It would be great if the Radiance could sense the aspect ratio and apply automatically whichever aspect is already programmed.

You need zoom, we need vertical shift, but the principal is the same.

The only problem in our case is that we would need to be able to specify which AR to apply to each detected AR.

For example, it would be fine for 1.85 and 2.35, but we had to "hijack" the LBOX for 2.40, so we would need to find a way to say "if 2.40, apply LBOX".

By the way, I recently discovered that if you use the horizontal arrows on the remote, you can scroll between the different ARs.

Makes it much easier in the meantime to select the right AR, as the AR keys are not backlighted (with info) in the dark.

The auto aspect feature is high on our list. We think that we should be able to implement this in the near feature. We also plan to, at the same time, add a new feature for auto "Side-by-Side" and "Top-Bottom" 3D detection.

This is wonderful news! A Basic IF ELSE command would be great for control. Smile

Yes, I can see two exceptions already (for my use, which is v-shift on a 16/9 screen):

1) if 2.40 then LBOX (I've hijacked the LBOX setting for 2.40 ratio as it's not available by itself. Of course, ideally, if we could have a dedicated memory for 2.40 that would be ideal as it's a quite common aspect)

2) this probabbly can't be done automatically, but we need an easy way to switch auto-sense off when watching a film with multiple ratios, like The Dark Knight which switches constantly between 16/9 and 2.35 (in that case I want to stay in 16/9 and deactivate autosense).
