I have a Vision Pro that is sick. The unit powers on and off, but does not respond to remote commands. That is a problem, but the worst is that it now has random failure modes. From loss of picture, change of aspect ration to changing inputs.

I cannot even upload the latest firmware update.

Can't do much.

I seem to recall that there is a hard reset or something I can do to reset the unit.

If you had these problems what would you try?

You can also try using the bootloader to update the software. Radiance Tech Tip 6 has the procedure for this. This tech tip was written for the Radiance but all the procedures apply to the VisionPro. You should also check the "force update" box when you reload the software.

Randy:

The bootmode update does not apply to the first generation Vision. Only the Vision with DVI and the Radiance.
